VOLUNTEER RAISES FUNDS AND VISITS PROJECTS IN SOUTH AFRICA - Part 1

A visit to A Reaching Hand's soup kitchen where we are supporting a feeding scheme at a clinic for TB patients, many of them come there to receive their ARV, AntiRetroViral medication to stall the HIV/AIDS virus. They get very sick if they take the medication on an empty stomach. We also feed the elderly, handicapped and Mothers visiting the clinic with their children. This is often their only meal for the day...

Yesterday my niece who joined me on this trip to South Africa, was packing 100 A Reaching Hand educare packs for the children at Smutsville primary school where she will volunteer next week.
