Fourteen Grade 7 drama students from the Delft South Primary School are the first group to undertake a four month Creative Life Learning Programme designed to take learners on a journey of discovery through a variety of activities including art, drama, theatre and dance. This creative journey is being funded by A Reaching Hand, The University of South Africa and the Tygerberg Art Centre. These 14 young girls had the opportunity to attend the internationally acclaimed Lion Boy, a theatre production directly from the stages of London. For most of the learners this live theatre experience was their first and one could feel their excitement, and the show literally kept them kept them on the edge of their seats. They raved about it during a light lunch which was generously funded by A Reaching Hand.
