It is unthinkable that over 2 million young girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are living below the poverty line in South Africa and cannot afford sanitary towels or tampons. They use old clothes, rags, newspapers, leaves, bark and grass, and miss approximately five days of school a month, which amounts to 60 missed schools days a year.
A Reaching Hand has started a Girl Care campaign to purchase sanitary towels and tampons for distribution, through the schools, to young girls in the townships in which we work.
R60 ($4.50) per month will Keep a Girl in School! Please donate to this important cause. Let’s keep as many girls as we can in school – Because We Care! * www.areachinghand.com/donate/ *
WE AT A REACHING HAND WISH YOU A FABULOUS 2017!
