The Beadwork project in Cape Town was founded by a number of unemployed men who succeeded in making a living, using their excellent artistic know-how. The lack of toys when they were children led them to make their own toys, such as cars made from steel thread. This was to ultimately result in their knowledge of handling steel thread and beads becoming an art form. The pavement is their workplace and store.
The aim to promote there art is to help this amazing project with marketing and therefor help these men provide for their families through their dexterity and artistry.
Instead of buying lots of unnecessary presents why not buy from these skillful young men, and in doing so help promote self-help.
