Colleen's Place of Hope
Colleen's Place of Hope is an abandoned children's home in Mitchell's Plain, South Arica. It was started by Colleen Naidoo and her husband Farrell some 20 years ago and they currently care for 35 children, ranging in age from nine days to 21 years. She does all this from her modest residence in Beacon Valley, Mitchell's Plain with the assistance of 3 caregivers.

The children in the orphanage all have different backgrounds. Some have been victims of abuse, mentally and/or physically. Some have suffered damage as a fetus, due to their mothers drug addiction. Some have been abandoned by their parents and some suffer from HIV/AIDS.

Despite of their histories, they are all happy, as happy as they can be. The love, care and nurture Colleen provides for them is amazing, she makes each child feel special.

The everyday life is tough for Colleen and Farrell (Colleen´s husband). They are in need of support in order to manage all  the children. Colleen and Farrell have become close friends with Karin and together they develop and improve the orphanage conditions day by day.
